Gosh, My Apologies

Especially for many of our friends that don't live in our home-town of Tulsa, we utilize the blog to keep up with what's going on in their lives.  It is an opportunity for us to share life with one another even though there are miles between us.  Thus, my apologies that is has been so long since our last entry.

Though it is no excuse, life has been pretty hectic the past few months.  Of course the Holidays, and all that they have to offer with travels, family, and special events.  However, on top of that, here is a small glimpse of some of the other time consuming events we have recently experienced.  First the sad passing of my beloved 2002 Yukon.  After being hit by a driver who had his brakes fail and ran a red light, I was left counting my blessings that I had just dropped Ellie off at school and that no one was critically hurt.

Also in that time frame our family has been busy planning and building a new home (set to be complete in Mid-March).  Thus, we are just about to put our current home on the market.  Anyone know of someone looking for a great home in Jenks, America; please send them our way.

Especially important was the Sunday morning we baptized Ms. Ellison Kate. Ellison did a great job in front of family, friends and our church, being presented as a Child of God.  Our good friend and Pastor, Spencer Smith, wonderfully dedicated and prayed over Ellison.  Not really an infant baptism, seeing that Ellie was nearly 16 months old, but it was a special day nonetheless.  Pictured here are Ellie's God-Parents, Aaron and Emily Walton.

Also, not to forget, the Sher's are big on celebrating Fall Harvest.  That means there were trips to the Pumpkin Patch, Trick or Treating, and Thanksgiving in Norman.  Ellie was not real sure as to the need to dress up and go ask for candy; however she was a big fan of the pumpkins and ponies at the patch.

Then there is OU football of course. From the home games where we tailgated to the road trips, where we have a habit of losing.  Especially unfulfilling was the trip to Columbia.  Although the company was great, once again, the Sooners were quite the let down when on the road.  Add to the weekend a very sick Rob, and I was pretty unenjoyable the entire time.  Seeing how we lost the game, the signs we discovered at GameDay were fairly appropriate (I can say that now OU has kicked their BCS slump to the curb)

Heather promises she is going to try and keep this blog updated more than we have of recently.  We hope to keep our end of the bargain.
